They have been very open and honest about all the events that happened in the country this year. It's clear they support our employees of different races, religion, sexual orientation, etc. They send emails showing their support and hold open and honest conversations with employees. They're willing to show where they need to work. During the pandemic where others were laying people off or reducing salaries, we were given raises and additional bonuses among other smaller benefits. I really felt lucky to work here!

I've never worked at a company that acted on the words they said as much as Basis. There is a lot of empathy and care in this workplace, and I think it's a rare find. For instance, last year I had a number of tragic events affect me and my family in a short timespan. Basis HR and management were 100% supportive in giving me room to take care of myself, and continue to support me by helping me evaluate my options (genuinely) to take the time I need to recover. Most companies I worked for would have tried to nudge me out the door for way less. It's a great feeling to know that your safe and cared for by your employer.

To have the opportunity to work remotely, to be supported with office resources at home, and to also receive a very generous time-off policy ("at least four weeks" is the terminology used by the firm) and the firm closure (entire firm is closed Christmas to New Years) has been wonderful for my family and my mental health. I would feel comfortable talking to anyone at the company - new or old, C-level or intern, and would expect to be shown the same level of acceptance and respect regardless of title.
