Any organization that has been recognized in one of the national lists of Europe during the 12 months, is candidate to integrate the list of Best Workplaces in Europe 2018. To prepare the Europe list this year, we considered more than 2,800 organizations that were distinguished in 19 national lists in the region during the period June 2017- May 2018. Best Workplaces in Europe are presented in four categories: Best Multinationals Workplaces Best National Workplaces: more than 500 employees Best National Workplaces: between 50 and 500 employees Best National Workplaces: Under 50 employees Multinational companies are eligible to compete if they meet the following requirements: Have a minimum of 1,000 employees worldwide. Have been recognized in at least three national lists in the region in the last year. At least 40% of the total number of employees of a company must work outside the country where the head office is located. At the regional level, organizations are evaluated and listed using the same criteria used at the national level. However, companies competing within the Multinationals list receive bonus points based on: The number of countries in which they have been recognized in the national lists of the region. The number of employees who have participated in the process in relation to the total number of employees that the company has in the region. As a result, multinational companies receive credit for the effort made to become an excellent workplace in several countries in the region. The higher these components, the greater the credit assigned to the organization for the final score. Multinationals that are part of the regional list participating with several countries will occupy a single position only. The scores of these companies are averaged and weighted according to the number of employees. The consolidation of averages will only take place when aspects of the same culture are shared between countries.
