Carla Harris

In her 30+ year career, Ms. Harris has had extensive industry experiences in the technology, media, retail, telecommunications, transportation, industrial and healthcare sectors. In August 2013, she was appointed by President Barack Obama to chair the National Women’s Business Council. She was named to Fortune Magazine’s list of “The 50 Most Powerful Black Executives in Corporate America,” U.S. Bankers Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance (2009, 2010, 2011), Black Enterprise’s Top 75 Most Powerful Women in Business (2017) and Top 75 African Americans on Wall Street, and Essence Magazine’s list of “The 50 Women Who are Shaping the World.” She has been named to the New Jersey Hall of Fame (2015) and has received many awards, including the Bert King Award from the Harvard Business School African American Alumni Association and the Women of Power Award given by the National Urban League.
Ms. Harris received an MBA, Second Year Honors from Harvard Business School and an AB in economics from Harvard University, Magna Cum Laude. She is the past Chair of the Board of the Morgan Stanley Foundation and of The Executive Leadership Council, and sits on the boards of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO), The Sesame Workshop, Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, and is an active member of the St. Charles Gospelites of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Gloria Goins
President
Brilliant Ideas
Gloria recently served as Cisco’s first Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Officer, where her team consulted with over thirty customers to integrate DEI as a business strategy. This unique customer initiative resulted in both sales and pipeline opportunities for Cisco. Before Cisco, Gloria was the Head of Health Equity and Business Development at Amazon Pharmacy, where she developed and led the strategy to create a comprehensive healthcare platform focusing on underserved customers. In that role, Becker’s Hospital Review twice recognized Gloria as one of the top five Amazon healthcare executives to know.
At The Home Depot, Gloria developed the Hispanic business strategy, which included launching the first ever paint color palette reflecting Hispanic culture. This innovative paint palette became the company’s top-selling brand and remains popular 17 years after its launch. At Prudential Financial, she created and managed the company’s largest affiliate marketing program, which generated $100 million in revenue and grew market share among emerging markets.
Gloria is a highly sought after public speaker and thought leader in multicultural business strategies, who consults with senior executives and Boards of Directors on inclusive culture initiatives that drive growth, sales, and operational excellence. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Gaia Herbs, and on an Advisory Board for CEO of The TJX Companies. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of ChangeEngine, an HR SaaS company.
Gloria began her career as an attorney in her hometown of Miami before becoming General Attorney for a division within BellSouth (now AT&T). With the objective of improving customer service for BellSouth, she chose and implemented the technology that accounts for why all Americans must now dial ten digits to make a local call.
Gloria holds a master’s degree in business administration from Mercer University, a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stanford University. She currently resides in Parkland, Florida, with her husband Prince, their daughter Grace, and their Yorkie Max.

Jennifer Kingston is the principal responsible for Colleague Experience, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Total Rewards at Edward Jones. She and her team provide strategic direction and thought leadership in collaboration with functional leaders and key stakeholders across the firm to create and support business plans and initiatives. She is responsible for helping develop long-term firm strategies and objectives that drive short-term initiatives and activities, as well as prioritizing and sequencing initiatives to address systemic opportunities.
Jennifer joined Edward Jones in April 2019 to lead the Legal Division’s Employment and Benefits area, leading her team in providing legal counsel, guidance and support to business areas – including Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Finance. In January 2021, Jennifer was appointed to serve as Interim Co-Leader of firm Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and in October 2021 she became leader of the firm's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division. In 2024, Jennifer was also asked to serve as the Leader of Colleague Experience as well as the Interim Leader of Total Rewards.
After obtaining her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her law degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Jennifer served as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri. She then joined Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner and worked in the product liability, class action and commercial litigation groups, served on the firm’s recruiting committee, and led the summer internship program. She left the firm as a partner, and from 2010 to April 2019 was a partner in the law firm of Dowd Bennett LLP. She represented clients facing significant, complex and high-stakes civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country.
Before joining Edward Jones, she frequently represented Edward Jones and its associates in employment and litigation matters. Jennifer has served on Susan G. Komen® Missouri’s Board of Directors since 2011 and currently serves as the board president. Komen Missouri works to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Most recently, Jennifer joined the Board for Forest Park Forever, a private nonprofit conservancy that partners with the City of St. Louis to restore, maintain and sustain Forest Park as one of America's great urban public parks for a diverse community of visitors to enjoy, now and forever. Jennifer has also served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, which supports young people through a variety of initiatives from one-on-one mentoring to skills training and career coaching, thereby facilitating the relationships that fuel their pursuit of a meaningful, stable and independent life, as well as the Board of Trustees for the St. Louis Public Library Foundation, supporting the library’s programs and services through advocacy and fundraising and building relationships with others who share a passion for the library’s work.

Alex Allen
Senior Director, Social Impact and Inclusion

Alex Allen is a seasoned human capital strategist and executive consultant, currently serving as the Senior Director of Social Impact and Inclusion at Cisco Systems. In his role, he designs and implements initiatives that supports business transformation through an inclusive culture by creating workplace cultures that increase productivity through employee engagement and implementing initiatives that shape organizational culture.
In 2019, Alex launched Cisco’s transformative program, “The Proximity Initiative,” which has engaged over 300 executives and thousands of employees. This initiative connects senior leaders and members from Employee Resource Groups to meet one-on-one with the purpose to share and seek to understand lived experiences. The ideology of the Proximity Initiative has informed the organization on new ways to increase engagement, practice inclusive leadership, and building trust with employees. Alex's efforts in this area underscore his passion for utilizing inclusive behaviors as a business differentiator to not only foster a more inclusive work environment but also amplify outcomes and driving innovation.
Alex has received three North American Employee Engagement Awards and a Bronze Stevie. He has been recognized twice by Inspiring Workplaces as one of the top 101 influencers globally in employee engagement and experience. Before joining Cisco, Alex gained extensive experience in Human Resource Leadership roles at BroadSoft, Under Armour, Nestle, The Home Depot, and General Electric.
His commitment to social impact extends beyond his professional role, as shown by his founding of a Special Needs Soccer Clinic in 2014, which serves children with mental and physical disabilities. This initiative, inspired by Alex's personal experience as a parent of a child with cerebral palsy, continues to thrive and expand.
Alex's educational background includes a Bachelor and Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Wilmington University. He has recently completed the Chief Human Resources Officer program at the Wharton School and became a fellow of the Stakeholder Leadership & Governance Institute.
Alex and his wife, Amy, reside in Maryland and are proud parents to their two sons, Eric and Bryce. In his leisure time, Alex is a devoted supporter of Philadelphia's sports teams. He also cherishes the moments he shares with his sons, watching them play sports, embracing life's various experiences, and celebrating their achievements.

Assil Omar
Chief Equity Officer

Most recently, Ms. Omar was Vice President, Talent Acquisition and Human Capital Planning. Ms. Omar joined AbbVie in Singapore in July of 2014, to lead Talent Management and Acquisition in the Japan and Asia Pacific region. She has since held roles of growing responsibility, including Human Resource business partnership and Talent Center of Excellence positions.
Before AbbVie, Ms. Omar held Learning and Development positions at Unilever and played a key role in standing up Unilever’s flagship Leadership Development hub, Four Acres, in Singapore. She spent the earlier part of her career in Supply Chain with Agility, assuming different roles of increasing responsibility across Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Ms. Omar holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts, History, International and Comparative Studies from University of Western Ontario and a Master of Arts degree in Education from the University of Toronto. She is a First Mover Fellow at the Aspen Institute for Business and Society.

Simon Yates

Since joining Marriott in 2018, Simon has held key roles in internal and external communications across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, engaging with associates across 76 countries and 25 languages. Prior to Marriott, he worked with British Airways, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Royal Sun Alliance, where he led initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational change.
A passionate advocate for inclusion and belonging, Simon is dedicated to building an environment where all individuals feel valued and respected. He is also a strong believer in the power of communication to build trust and engagement.
Educated in the UK, Simon holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Business Studies. He currently resides in Washington, D.C., with his husband.
Alexandra (Ally) Legend Siegel is Senior Vice President and Chief Equality and Engagement Officer at Salesforce where she leads the company’s global equality and talent engagement strategy.
Ally is a seasoned HR, equality, and marketing leader with deep experience driving talent, culture, technology, and industry transformations. As a founding member of Salesforce’s Office of Equality, she returned to now lead the equality, employee engagement, brand, recruitment marketing, employee volunteering, and HR customer storytelling & executive comms teams. In her role, she is focused on unlocking engagement, opportunity, and innovation in the future of AI and Agent technology.
In 2018, she was named among Business Insider’s 30 and Under Rising Stars in Tech for her impact and nominated for AdColor's Change Agent Award. She has also been recognized as one of the Top Women in Travel and Hospitality in 2023 for her executive role leading company and industry transformation around equality, access, and innovation at Expedia Group.
Ally currently serves as a board member for Big Brother Big Sister Bay Area, helping youth achieve their full potential through mentorship, and as the Executive in Residence for Mills College at Northeastern.

Derek has held various roles throughout his over 25 years of corporate experience including, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. His most recent role was as a Regional Sales Director leading Sales teams at Secureworks a Cybersecurity Division of Dell Technologies. Derek was also a Chapter Founder and Leader of the Atlanta Chapter of Dell Technologies Black Networking Alliance Employee Resource Group. Under Derek’s leadership this chapter played a pivotal role in driving Dell’s Diverse Talent Engagement efforts and programs at HBCUs/MSIs. Derek has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University and a Master’s in Business Administration in Marketing from Clark Atlanta University.

Nicole Taylor

A trusted advisor and catalyst for change, Nicole has been instrumental in empowering ERG leaders, designing scalable programs, and forging high-impact partnerships that enhance engagement, spark innovation, and evolve workplace culture. Nicole specializes in ERG program development, talent acceleration, and cross-functional collaboration. She has led initiatives that have increased active ERG membership, strengthened executive sponsorship, and positioned ERGs as strategic partners in business growth and employee retention.
As a certified professional coach, Nicole is committed to co-creating spaces where employees can lead with authenticity, collaborate meaningfully, and make a lasting impact.
Born and raised in The Bronx, NY, she continues to call it home, where she lives with her husband, daughter, and two rescue cats Emerald and Esme.

Jayson Saba
VP Portfolio Marketing & Analyst Relations

Jayson Saba is a proven marketing and strategy leader with over 20 years of experience in the HR technology space. As the Vice President of Portfolio Marketing and Analyst Relations at UKG, he oversees product, services, and industry marketing, in addition to analyst relations. His strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in driving UKG’s market presence and innovation. In 2021, Jayson was honored with the “For All Leader” award at UKG, recognizing his inclusive leadership and commitment to fostering a supportive workplace culture. He is currently an Executive Sponsor of UKG’s AsPIRE employee resource group (ERG).
Before joining UKG, Jayson held several leadership roles at Ceridian, shaping the company’s go-to-market strategy for the flagship Dayforce product. His responsibilities included marketing strategy, market research, competitive intelligence, and analyst relations.
At the Boston-based Aberdeen Group, Jayson served as the lead analyst covering core HR, Payroll, Workforce Management, and Outsourcing within the HCM practice. He authored over 100 research papers and benchmark reports, establishing himself as a thought leader in the field. His insights have been featured in prominent publications such as The Economist, CIO, HR Executive, HRO Today, PAYTECH, Talent Management, and Workforce Management magazines.
In addition to his research, Jayson is an active blogger and speaker at HR events. His blogs have been featured on platforms like TLNT, ERE, Wired, and the Huffington Post. He is also committed to education and mentorship, serving as an adjunct professor at UMASS-Lowell and participating in various advisory boards.
Recognized as a top HR Influencer by HR Examiner and awarded the prestigious HR Technology Superstar by HRO Today multiple times, Jayson’s deep understanding of market dynamics and his ability to anticipate industry trends have positioned him as a thought leader in the field.
Jayson holds a BS in Business Administration, Marketing from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Bentley University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Outside of his professional life, Jayson is passionate about giving back to the community, serving as an advisor to the US Chapter of the International Lebanese Medical Association (ILMA-US).
